Saturday the outdoor festival at Heritage Park promises to be the biggest and best celebration of everything beef in the world. Enjoy culinary delights presented by a variety of local restaurant cantinas. Fun educational sessions let you learn about the “Whole Cow”. Celebrity chef Mark McEwan and local culinary experts will teach you everything that you need to know to perfectly prepare every cut of beef. Enter the social media-based “My Dad is the Best Ever BBQ Dad because...” to win a brand new BBQ and 6 months worth of beef. Spend time at the amazing Kids Zone or wander through the Cattle Trail where you learn how beef goes from pasture to plate.

Heritage Park - Thanksgiving Thank You Weekend

With the Park’s summer season coming to an end, this is your last chance to enjoy the historical village attractions for the season. Take a spin on the antique midway, a trip around the Park on our thundering steam train, a relaxing tour on a horse-drawn wagon ride or a cruise on the Glenmore Reservoir aboard the S.S. Moyie. Visit the Livingston House, the Ranch House and the Rectory and fill your senses with the aroma of pumpkin as these cooking sites demonstrate how they would have prepared for a historical Thanksgiving.
The first 500 guests to arrive between 9:30 -10:30am will be treated to Heritage Park’s complimentary pancake breakfast served hot off the grill in Gunn’s Dairy Barn, with regular paid admission.
This weekend only, the Wainwright Hotel Dining Room will be offering a sumptuous three-course Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings as part of their menu.
This holiday meal will be served between 11:00am and 3:30pm on a first come, first serve basis.
A Taste of History

This annual fundraising dinner is commemorating the repeal of prohibition in Alberta in 1924 and will be held at Heritage Park. Guests will enjoy elegant menu selections all while seeing and hearing the sights and sounds of the 1920s. Dress is semi-formal or period-costume. Free parking will be available. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
